The 5000 Question Meme, Part One
1. Who are you?
that is a question I have been asking myself for a few months now....I wish I knew. I thought I did...but all of that has changed now. Who I thought I was no longer exists, and the person I should have been was squashed a long time ago. I am working on figuring out who I am and how to get there.
2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you?
1--my faith and my children will ALWAYS ALWAYS come first
2--I can be fiercely loyal and devoted--but 2nd chances are limited and come with additional boundaries
3--I'm a writer not a talker
3. When you doing aren't memes like this one what are you doing?
depends on the day....watching tv, journaling, reading, playing taxi mom, scripture study, crocheting, scrapbooking, writing blog posts for LDW Magazine
4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time).
this is easy: math and science were the classes I hated the most...liked the others pretty well; art was my favorite
5. What is your biggest goal for this year?
to finalize my divorce and finish something--ANYTHING--on my project list
6. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
I don't even know where I want to be in a month, let alone 5 years
7. What stage of life are you in right now?
I am a working, soon to be single (but not soon enough) LDS mom,
8. Are you more child-like or childish?
depends on who you ask...but I don't think I'm either one--blame it on life's lessons....don't have the luxury of being child like, and too many responsibilities to be childish
9. What is the last thing you said out loud?
"thanks so much" to a friend from church that brought something over
10. What song comes closest to how you feel about your life right now?
11. Have you ever taken martial arts classes?
not...but I've thought about it
12. Does your life tend to get better or worse or does it just stay the same?
again, depends on the day....some days seem better, some not so much--I'm hoping for more days that are better,
13. Does time really heal all wounds?
heal? no. time gives perspective, time allows growth...but the wound will always be there, and will be ripped open at times
14. How do you handle a rainy day?
if I have to get out in it...I hate it. i hate driving in it and I hate the way other people drive in it...but if I can be home...I like to watch the rain fall and I love the way the air smells after it rains...naps are great when it's raining
15. Which is worse...losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights?
losing luggage I would think...thankfully, that has not ever happened to me (although I have had luggage damaged by the airline staff)
16. How is (or was) your relationship with your parents?
it's good...and for the most part always has been....there were times when I was a teenager that were strained, and there are times now that are tense..but we get past them
17. Do you tend to be aware of what is going on around you?
I try to be...but not always..I sometimes get lost in my own thoughts and don't pay as close attention as I could or should
18. What is the truest thing that you know?
that God lives and loves me
19. What did you want to be when you grew up?
a child psychologist
20. Have you ever been given a second chance?
i have...and am grateful for it every second of every day
21. Are you more of a giver or a taker?
a giver...I give all I have, usually to my own detriment
22. Do you make your decisions with an open heart/mind?
I haven't always, but I'm hoping to learn how
23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
emergency c-section delivery of my youngest children
24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you?
there are two...burying my son, and more recently, finding out that my husband (pending divorce) was/is having an affair, and then having him not only deny it multiple times, but blame me for it;
25. Who have you hugged today?
my youngest son...he is very affectionate and also very sensory oriented...so he hugs and "rubs" alot (ie he rubs his face on my arm during church and anytime he is sitting next to me and also puts his hands in my shirt sleeves to feel the coolness/warmness of my skin)
